JOB DESCRIPTION
  • Technical Cybersecurity Project Manager with Compliance Experience Manage projects related to the implementation of security controls, tools and integrations
  • Responsible for compliance activities, especially related to HIPAA and NIST 800-53
  • Manage vendors in their execution of statement of work and hold them accountable
  • Assist with audits and the continual monitoring of risk assessment plans
  • Collaborate with architects, engineers, IT team leads and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), and all levels of management, and ensure that Cyber Security Services are provided according to organizational policy
  • Perform project planning and execution, change management, and cross functional team management in a matrixed environment
  • Identify and resolve project issues and risks
  • Communicate across all levels of the organization
Mandatory Skills
  • The candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a technical project or program manager, with a strong background in cybersecurity, governance, risk and/or compliance
  • Experience managing multi-million dollar and high-risk projects
  • Ability to communicate project status including issues and risks
  • Ability to effectively manage a project (scope, schedule, budget)
  • Broad knowledge in a variety of policies, procedures, security tools & security operations.
  • Understanding of IT security strategies and/or technologies – data loss prevention, cyber security and network perimeter security
  • Working knowledge of industry standard security application products e.g. client, workstation, server, email, data capture, anti-virus, scanners, IDS, IPS, DDoS, firewall, etc.
  • Ability to write effectively for a variety of audiences
  • Responds to changing demands and priorities
  • Be able to manage multiple projects at once
  • Very detail oriented
  • Good verbal and written communications in English
Preferred Skills
  • Formal training and certification in the system development life cycle and project management
  • Past experience as a cybersecurity engineer
  • PMP and/or Agile Methodology certification is preferred
  • CISSP certification
  • Familiarity with deploying data, IT security and application infrastructure
  • Understanding of IT security strategies and/or technologies – data loss prevention, cyber security and network perimeter security
  • Working knowledge of industry standard security application products e.g. client, workstation, server, email, data capture, anti-virus, scanners, IDS, IPS, DDoS, firewall, etc.
