Job Summary: 
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior DevOps Engineer with a strong technical foundation, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to support our clients and internal operations. This role is pivotal in managing and optimizing our digital infrastructure, including WordPress hosting, AWS cloud environments, Linux administration, DNS, SSL, and domain management. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in automation, monitoring, and scripting, enabling efficient workflows and a stable, secure infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Website Hosting & Management:

   • Oversee WordPress hosting on platforms such as Kinsta, WP Engine, SpinupWP, GoDaddy, and legacy servers.
   • Monitor uptime, performance, and resolve hosting-related issues.
   • Deploy new websites, configure DNS settings, and manage seamless site launches.

2. AWS Cloud & Infrastructure Management:

   • Manage AWS services including EC2, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, and RDS for robust infrastructure.
   • Set up and optimize monitoring and alerting systems within AWS, ensuring high performance and rapid issue response.
   • Automate routine tasks using Python or other scripting languages to enhance operational efficiency.

3. DNS, Domain & SSL Management:

   • Manage DNS configurations across Cloudflare and GoDaddy, including subdomains, MX records, and SPF/DMARC.
   • Oversee domain purchases, renewals, and SSL certificate management, ensuring secure and reliable web services.

4. Technical Support & Administration:

   • Provide technical support for both client and internal teams, troubleshooting issues and ensuring smooth daily operations.
   • Set up, configure, and maintain tools and platforms as required, aligning with project needs.
   • Maintain comprehensive documentation and records, utilizing Confluence for team collaboration.

5. Security & Compliance:

   • Securely manage sensitive credentials in Bitwarden, conducting regular audits to maintain security compliance.
   • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment with compliance requirements and best practices.

6. Backup, Archiving & Disaster Recovery:

   • Conduct regular backups for websites and databases, archiving securely on Amazon S3.
   • Develop disaster recovery plans, ensuring business continuity and data protection.

7. Client and Internal Collaboration:

   • Work closely with clients and internal teams, effectively communicating complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
   • Prioritize support tickets and handle technical requests promptly, ensuring a high level of service and client satisfaction.

Qualifications:

• 5 + years of proven experience with WordPress hosting platforms, AWS, Linux, DNS, SSL, domain management, and automation.
• Proficiency in scripting languages (Python preferred) and strong experience in AWS services.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the capability to work well with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
