Position Overview
This position is responsible for handling one of our most established books of business. As an LTL Account Manager, you will be responsible for both carrier and customer-facing tasks. These tasks include conflict resolution, quoting shipments, scheduling, bidding on freight, and most importantly growing relationships with our customers.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Communicating professionally in person, over the phone, and via email to accounts, customers, and team members
- Track growth/decline of managed customer accounts and identify new opportunities
- Utilize TMS to enter bids and keeping communication with customers
- Provide customers with a quick, effective solution if problems arise
- Continuously build and increase your industry knowledge
- Ability to be the main point of contact for customers
- Assist with accounting department with any invoicing problems that may arise
- Ability to generate sales among existing customer accounts, including upselling and cross-selling
- Service multiple customer accounts concurrently, often meeting deadlines
Experience and Qualifications
- High School Diploma required
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum of two-year’s experience in logistics preferred, preferably on the LTL side of the business
- Minimum of three-year’s experience in customer service preferred
Knowledge and Skills
- Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal
- Passion for sales and the art of negotiation

- Ability to multitask while simultaneously building relationships
