Accountant

Role Profile

Unispace Life Sciences are looking for an Part or Fully Qualified Accountant to join our growing team. You will be part of the Finance team, reporting to the Head of Finance. The successful candidate will be working in collaboration with other members of the Finance and Executive team and will support the Company’s month-end accounting, Financial Accounting Close process, Preparation of Statutory Financial Statements, and Regulatory Reporting. The individual should have strong accounting technical skills and experience, good report writing and presentation skills. To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have strong Excel and invoicing experience.

Responsibilities include but not limited to

• Involved in the preparation of management accounts
• Prepare payment runs and cashflow projections
• Prepare and file relevant tax returns
• Assisting with group audit and preparation of statutory accounts
• Have ownership over parts of the month-end process, including balance sheet reconciliations and cost analysis
• Prepare strategic analysis for management review
• Processing invoices to vendors, clients and contractors
• Timesheet reconciliation.
• Project Commercial Reporting
• Billing & Billability Reporting
• Administration support for Finance Team

About you

You will need to be a part-qualified or recently qualified Accountant from eithe ACA, ACCA, or CIMA. If you have experience with management accounting then this will be a great bonus. You'll need to be highly IT proficient, mostly with Excel, but we do have some other software that we will teach you how to use. You'll also need to be a self-starter, and be able to get stuck straight in from day 1 and work independently.
