What will you be doing?
As an Assistant Director, you will work with the Center Director, teachers, and families to provide a home away from home for children in our care, according to NAEYC guidelines. Responsibilities include:
• Ensuring the safety and supervision of children ages 6 weeks – 12 years.
• Ensuring that all staff members understand the objectives and expectations within each classroom.
• Assisting the Center Director with adherence to child care licensing requirements as well as internal policies of the company.
• Handling administrative duties within the center office.
• Substituting as Center Director in the event of their absence.
• Providing effective communication with parents/guardians about their child.

Requirements:
• Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education/related field required
• 5+ years of child care or teaching experience preferred
• Demonstrated leadership qualities and ability to supervise others
• Must be able to function independently within the Microsoft Office suite of products
• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
• Ability to build relationships with children and families
• Ability to multitask and remain organized
• Ability to work within regular operating hours
• Must meet state criteria for child care employment
