InductiveHealth is seeking a Public Health Laboratory Workflow Specialist. In this dynamic role, you will work on projects partnering with public health agencies and healthcare organizations to enhance their workflow efficiency. Your responsibilities will encompass a range of critical tasks, from meticulously documenting and assessing current laboratory and healthcare workflows to designing and documenting future-state processes. Your expertise will be instrumental in supporting both laboratory and healthcare organizations during testing and go-live phases, ensuring seamless transitions.

This role will be up to 25% travel.
What you'll be doing:
- Simultaneously work on multiple projects with multiple clients (public health partners and healthcare organizations) to assist with test ordering and resulting workflow efforts
- Observe, document, and assess current public health laboratory and healthcare organization workflows and processes
- Design and document future state workflows for the laboratory’s test ordering and resulting process
- Design and document future state workflows for the healthcare organization’s test ordering and resulting process
- Support laboratory’s and healthcare organization’s testing and go-live efforts
- Collaborate with project teams and support management of tasks using collaboration tools
What we're looking for:
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in a laboratory
- Experience working in a laboratory, within a public health laboratory specifically is preferred
- Experience in Electronic Test Orders and Results (ETOR), such as HL7 orders and results
- Knowledge of common laboratory processes, workflows, and data elements, with Newborn Screening specifically is preferred
- Familiarity with healthcare organization test data
- Ability to comprehend, review, improve and document workflow processes for business use
- Proven ability to perform and document successful process gap analysis
- Excellent client relations, presentation, organizational, writing, and communication skills
- Self-directed, highly organized, and self-motivated
- Team-player with commitment to the provision of quality customer service
- Ability to communicate with a broad array of individuals from varying technical aptitudes, professional backgrounds, and affiliations
- Ability to record and deliver information, to explain procedures, and to contribute to the broad range goals of delivering overarching technical assistance initiatives while capitalizing on historical efficiencies and reusability when possible
- Willingness and ability to travel up to 25% of the time
What will make you stand out:
- A bachelor’s degree in informatics, health information technology, or public health health/laboratory field is a plus
- MPH is a plus
- Familiarity with JIRA, Smartsheet, and/or Confluence is a plus
