. The candidate will own and account for UI implementation of mobile web products developed within the Mobile Commerce Solutions cross-functional team.
• Implement software UI wireframes, interaction designs, and prototypes into functional, best-in-class, user-focused, competitive, and intuitive mobile user experiences.
• Work within a cross-functional team in an Agile/SCRUM development cycle to deliver industry-leading innovations that drive commerce and payment tech user adoption.
• Cultivate your own understanding of user/market problems and opportunities for improvement and share your insights.
• Participate in UX and user-centered design and development activities.
Position Requirements
• 6+ years of professional experience as a UI (front-end) developer in a project-based environment.
• 2+ years of hands-on, direct experience with modern front-end structural frameworks/libraries (Angular.JS, Backbone, React, Ember).
• Demonstrated experience in cleanly separating data, presenting data, and business logic (MVC)
• Bachelor's degree in a computer science or related field (CS, Computational Media, Interaction Design, Human Computer Interfaces, Industrial Design, Product Design etc.)
• A passion for representing the user point of view in a technology-led environment and intense curiosity about human performance and behavior with your solutions.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and success leveraging modern mobile and web MVC frameworks (Angular.JS, React.JS, Backbone.js, jQuery, Sencha, Kendo)
• Passion for taking design data and user needs and translating them into actionable product strategies: creating product and service concepts that enable development teams to act on your findings.
• Core UI/UX design skills, with an ability to map out complex information architectures (at a variety of resolutions) and link these to user needs.
• A deep understanding of user-centered design and an ability to integrate design into the creation of new product and service offerings across digital, service and system domains.
• A toolkit of prototyping techniques from low-to-high resolution, encompassing mobile and PC.
• Ability to engage with technical (mobile and networked) domains, including familiarity with MVC concepts, HTML5, CSS, Javascript, and a track record of working with the people who implement these solutions.
• Excellent communication skills, fluent and articulate at presenting processes and conclusions to executive leadership, as well as the ability to persuasively represent design methodologies.
• People-orientated and a natural team-worker, comfortable working in a fluid, start-up-like environment where proactivity and self-direction are essential.
Preferred Qualifications
• BS in Computer Science, HCI or equivalent experience, MS a plus
• 1+ years global and/or commercial software development experience
• Exposure or experience in mobile banking/payment industry
