Systems Architect

• Facilitate the business needs for ongoing technical support and upgrade protection on selected products by ensuring that maintenance, support, and upgrade protection renewals are managed/handled/ordered in advance of their expiration.
• Provide analysis and recommendations for the most efficient software licensing approaches and models.
• Identify savings opportunities for renewals, software licensing, and services.
• Assist customers with the TIS/SAM internal processes for the total lifecycle of software asset management.
• Identify and track software scheduled to be discontinued and removed from customer systems or software agreements.
• Enter and maintain information in a database format to address budgeting, software compliance & inventory, cost, etc.
• Assist/coordinate the development of reporting and dashboard options to provide Executive Management with timely and accurate data.
• Respond to requests from end users, managers, developers, and team members for specific IT Software Asset Management data information.
• Manage annual licensing True-ups and work with all respective parties to identify licensing levels and compliance status.
• Conduct and report software asset reconciliation and audit activities on a timely basis, including financial, licensing, warranty, and maintenance/support contract information.
• Formulate and implement processes and procedures for tracking and analyzing technical and financial data of company software requisition through retirement.
• Track and maintain copies of software licenses, warranties, maintenance agreements, and vendor contracts.
• Works closely with the Client Contracting officer to provide SME requirements pertaining to current and future software MA agreements and contracts.

• High-Level Understanding of Technology.
• This person needs to keep current with technology changes in the world to be able to understand the licensing implications of technology projects within Candidate organization and be able to recommend alternatives.
• The person does not need to be able to install servers but does need to understand clustering options, virtual technologies, cores versus sockets, and the basic functionality of the software and technology deployed.
• Excellent contract management skills are essential.
• Ability to deal tactfully with vendors, suppliers, and contractors who provide a broad spectrum of products and services.
• Strong Data Analytics skills The candidate should possess the necessary skills and experience in performing in-depth Data Analytics as it pertains to the various elements of Software Asset Management.
• MS Excel.
• Tableau Etc.
• Experience in Managing large-scale Licensing agreements such as Microsoft EA/SCE and Adobe, including annual true-ups as well as Contract/Agreement Renewals. Evaluation of licensing types and recommendations on future licensing purchases and upgrades.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven researching ability.
• Bachelors Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field or work experience equivalent.
• Minimum (5) years of direct work experience in a contract management or purchasing and procurement capacity, including all aspects of strategy development and execution. Specifically, as it relates to software purchasing.

• IT Asset Management and Discovery Tools experience ServiceNow a plus.
• Experience interpreting licensing terms and conditions.
• Certified Software Management Professional.
• Solid working knowledge of current IT technologies, including clustering, virtual and physical server platforms, as well as cloud and on-site hosting environments as they pertain to software licensing.
