Contract opportunity for Mathematics Teachers

Education Perfect is an EdTech platform designed to empower educators and amplify their impact in the classroom. We aim to enable teachers to personalise learning at scale with a range of powerful learning, assessment, and insights tools, helping them and their students reach their full potential.

We require two highly experienced Australian Curriculum Mathematics teachers to collaborate with us to develop a curriculum map and outline a set of core lessons across all strands for years 7-10. 

We will require the successful candidates to:

• Determine a set of topics within each strand of the Version 9.0 Australian Curriculum
• Outline a set of core lessons within each topic. This plan will include:
• A lesson title
• Suggested learning objectives
• 2-3 sentences describing the content and activities that could be included in the lesson to ensure students meet the stated objectives. 
• The curriculum content descriptor/achievement standard(s) the lesson aligns with
• Create a map of the learning progression between topics and lessons across years 7-10
• Attend an initial briefing meeting and other occasional meetings for discussion and feedback throughout the project. 

This role does not require the creation of any content. 

This work will all be conducted remotely using the suite of Google Applications (Docs and Sheets) and time management software to track completion. 

The work is expected to take approximately 36 hours to complete (per contracted advisor) and must be delivered within 4 weeks of the agreed start date.  Upon successful completion of the project, a payment of $2800 AUD will be made. 

Requirements of this position include:

• Minimum 5 years of experience teaching mathematics in Australia to Years 7-10
• Expertise with the Australian Curriculum Version 9.0
• Current or former Head of Department 
• You are experienced in developing curriculum maps and writing lesson plans to meet specific curriculum outcomes
• Experience using Education Perfect in the classroom
• Proficiency in Google Docs and Sheets
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively to a strict timeline
