The Corporate Engineering team as part of IT Enterprise Technology is an exciting and a fast-evolving engineering team.. The team is responsible for identifying, designing, implementing, developing and supporting applications and services to create a streamlined technology experience for Cruisers. As a Staff IT Engineer on the team, you will be leading all technical aspects of software development and management of a wide variety of solutions under Corporate systems and technologies. You will be driving strategic cross functional initiatives, technology assessment and end to end solution delivery by partnering with various business teams.
What you’ll be doing?
Act as the technical lead and architect for Corporate Engineering systems such as Communication and Collaboration systems, Issue Management, Content Management, Identity and Access Management and IT Asset Management (among others).
Develop applications and services to support and advance systems scope and value
Evaluate the existing technical landscape and devise a strategy to evolve services
Lead programs and projects by aligning business requirements with IT strategies
Work cross functionality with partner and business teams to drive complex high value programs and projects
Provide Influence and guidance on system architecture, problem resolution, team decisions, and project planning
Deliver high quality software using Agile/Scrum development methodologies
Collaborate with other engineering teams in designing, implementing and integrating business applications
What you must have?
Application management, engineering and solution delivery experience (10+ years) and experience in technical / engineering lead roles (4+ years).
Expert level programming skills, Go/Python or preferred language
A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, engineering or related field.
Progressively related experience in design, development, and implementation of highly scalable, high-volume software systems, applications and major SaaS solutions
Ability to drive highly complex cross-functional projects
Experience with process design, architecture, implementation, and solution delivery of secure & scalable services
Experience in platform management: monitoring tools (e.g. Datadog, Humio or similar) and Software Performance Optimization (memory, CPU, scaling, etc...)
Experience with cloud implementations (PaaS, IaaS) in Azure, AWS or GCP
Ability to lead and drive work independently across functions and collaborate with all levels of users and management
Must be data driven, detail-oriented, self-organized, be committed to quality and capable of tracking multiple work streams simultaneously
Ability to work in a fast-changing, dynamic, and agile environment, including the ability to manage time and maintain an excellent work ethic
Candidate must have mentoring and guidance skills to provide oversight and direction to contractors and internal members of the software development team
Strong verbal and written communications skills are a must, as well as the ability to work effectively across internal and external organizations
The salary range for this position is $166,600 - $245,000. Compensation will vary depending on location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. You may also be offered a bonus, long-term incentives, and benefits. These ranges are subject to change.
