As the Finance and Accounting Analyst, you will be responsible for financial preparation and reconciliation, analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex financial information clearly. You will play a crucial role in both the operational and strategic aspects of the firm, ensuring financial integrity and supporting the growth and success of the business.

Duties and Responsibilities:

This position will be involved with many aspects of the firm and interact daily with several members of the team across all departments. Time will generally be split between the private fund and RIA side of the business performing reporting, operational, accounting, and finance-related tasks.


Most of these responsibilities will be worked on collaboratively with another member of the finance team and closely work with the CFO.

  • Prepare monthly management company financials
  • Project and analyze pro forma management company revenues and expenses
  • Calculate and collect monthly client RIA advisory fees
  • Update accrual schedules for private fund quarterly and monthly closes
  • Review quarterly and monthly financials prepared by fund administrators
  • Review quarterly and monthly investor statements
  • Perform general management company treasury functions
  • Calculate and collect fund management fees
  • Prepare line of credit advance requests, accurately track payoffs and interest payments
  • Project private fund cash flows and upcoming cash needs
  • Fund investment capital calls and track distributions
  • Collect and file quarterly capital account statements from underlying investments
  • Calculate optimal capital call and distribution amounts
  • Manage the capital call and distribution process with fund administrators
  • Assist with private fund annual audits to ensure timely completion
  • Assist with quarterly and year-end investment valuations
  • Review private fund tax estimates, tax returns and K-1s
  • Update investment valuations
  • Gather source data for 13F, ADV, and Form PF filings
  • Track and pay management company and private fund invoices
  • Assist with HR duties (employee onboarding, payroll, reimbursements, 401(k) administration)
  • Assist with various investor, client, and management requests

Requirements

  • Minimum Educational Requirement: Bachelor’s Degree from a 4‐year accredited institution or equivalent work experience
  • CPA and CA Certification is preferred but not required
  • At least 5- 12 years of related work experience
  • Accounting, finance, or economics degree
  • Experience at an RIA, family office, private equity fund, accounting firm, or fund administrator in a finance/accounting role preferred
  • Other relevant experience considered if an excellent cultural fit
  • Extreme accuracy, discipline, work ethic, attention to detail, and organizational skills
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Interest in working at an investment services firm
  • Comfortable bridging the gap and working with all divisions of the firm
  • Open to taking on new tasks, projects, and ad hoc requests
  • Must have experience in accounting software platform making journal entries, updating accruals, financial reporting, and generating management reports.
  • Ability to be highly effective while working under pressure
  • No age restrictions and gender preference
