ispace Europe is seeking a highly motivated and talented Intern Warehouse Management to join our team.
Our vision is to expand and sustain humanity’s presence in space by developing a lunar economy based on the resources available on the Moon.
As the regional office of ispace in Luxembourg, we are creating the first lunar resource exploration service by developing ispace’s next generation rovers for prospecting lunar water and other resources. We are seeking a dynamic and motivated intern to join our Operations team. This internship offers hands-on experience in optimizing warehouse and manufacturing processes within a fast-paced, high-tech environment.
The position is based in Luxembourg and reports to the Group Manager (CTO Group), working closely with the team members of ispace Europe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Warehouse Management Optimization:
- Analyze the current physical layout of the warehouse and propose improvements to enhance space utilization, workflow, and accessibility.
- Organize the initial setup of shelves, bins, or other storage solutions to prepare for incoming materials.
- Carry out an inventory and update the information in the ERP
- Develop a standard operating procedure for warehouse management to ensure consistency and scalability.
- Support procurement by participating in the reception of products both electronically and physically.
- 5S Implementation in an Existing Manufacturing Area:
- Conduct an initial assessment of the current manufacturing area to identify inefficiencies and opportunities for improvement.
- Implement the 5S methodology:
- Sort: Remove unnecessary items from the workspace.
- Set in Order: Organize tools and equipment for easy accessibility.
- Shine: Clean and maintain work areas for improved safety and productivity.
- Standardize: Create visual cues, checklists, and guidelines to maintain organization.
- Sustain: Train employees and set up a routine audit system to ensure lasting results.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING
- A background in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of ERP systems and process improvement methodologies (e.g., Lean, 5S).
- Strong organizational and analytical skills with a hands-on approach.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- A proactive mindset and eagerness to learn in a high-tech environment.
