Software Engineer II

WHO YOU ARE:

Software Engineer II play a key role in the design, development/configuration, unit testing, installation, and ongoing maintenance of Zinnia software platforms. Zinnia Senior Software Engineers work with stakeholders to develop solutions and/or products that fulfill the needs of Zinnia’s internal stakeholders and clients. Those solutions and/or products help Zinnia and Zinnia clients to be more efficient and provide better service to end customers. Senior Software Engineer interacts directly with project managers and business stakeholders and may periodically interact directly with Zinnia’s clients. Senior Software Engineer will facilitate, lead, and enable junior team members by acting as a mentor for soft skills and/or technical subject matter experts.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• 3-5 years of experience with languages like JavaScript, Java, Python.
• Experience with writing REST APIs and documenting them using Open API specs.
• Patience and perseverance to overcome challenges, solve problems, and learn new computer languages and techniques.
• Working knowledge of managing APIs via API gateways (Kong is preferable).
• Working knowledge of OAuth, SAML, OpenID Connect protocols.
• Effective communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills. Effective troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work as part of a cross-functional, global team.
• Work Timings - 4:00 PM - 01:00 AM IST

Bonus:

• Working knowledge of MuleSoft.
• Experience with NestJS, NodeJS framework.
• Experience in managing and configuring API gateway (Kong or AWS API gateway).
• Experience in managing and configuring Identity platforms (Auth0, Okta, Azure AD).

Technical Skills:

• Object Oriented Programming (OOPS) and design patterns.
• Programming using Shell script, Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript, Java.
• Steaming platforms like Kafka.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms i.e AWS.
• Good knowledge of databases like Postgres, Mongo, Oracle, MSSQL etc.
• SOA/Microservice Architecture.
• Knowledge and experience with REST.
• Git, Maven, Docker.

Qualifications: Should have B.Tech / BE / MCA / MTech / ME or equivalent qualification from reputed institutes.
