Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute Organizational Change Management (OCM) strategies and activities that maximize stakeholder adoption and understanding while minimizing resistance and ensuring benefit realization, in support of an Agile adoption and transformation within the IT organization and its business partners across the enterprise.
  • Create and manage various OCM artifacts, including: stakeholder analysis, impact analysis, roles and responsibilities mapping, IT change readiness assessment, business change readiness assessment, training recommendations, and user acceptance analysis.
  • Work with client organizational leaders and employees to ensure understanding, adoption and proficiency of the changes that impact employees in the organization to increase benefit realization, value creation, ROI and the achievement of results and outcomes – relative to this Agile transformation.
  • Identify current state processes gaps vs. future state and resultant training needs and department impacts; collaborates with internal training and learning/development resources to create appropriate training plans.
  • Establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders; and work closely with project sponsors (supervisors, middle managers, direct reports of senior leaders) to help the sponsor build commitment for the change driven by the initiative.
  • Identify areas of resistance to the change, understand reasons for that resistance, and develop a plan of action to resolve and build commitment.
  • Build measurement and reporting for operational results.
  • Develop and maintain a customer-focused relationship with business stakeholders by exhibiting a high level of collaboration, timely communication and responsiveness.
 
Required Skills:                      
  • Minimum of 10 years of overall experience, with several years of Organizational Change Management experience, including implementing change strategies within a large corporate environment.
  • Must have previous experience working as a consultant; must possess excellent leadership skills and have a strong executive presence.
  • Must have OCM experience in the adoption and transformation of an organization to Agile.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use core change management techniques across a portfolio of projects.
  • Experience working closely with project sponsors (supervisors, middle managers, direct reports of senior leaders) to help the sponsor build commitment for the change driven by the project.
  • Expertise in delivering large scale change programs in order to ensure that optimum benefits are delivered in line with the organizations business objectives. Demonstrated experience developing and delivering a stakeholder management plan.
  • Strong relationship building skills, and the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, in order to support global Organizational Change Management (OCM) initiatives and assess the capability and capacity of the organization to deliver transformational change.
  • Effectively provide coaching throughout the leadership system on how to identify the benefit realization, value creation, points of resistance, how to build advocacy for change, and to build a plan to address all these areas.
  • Ability to train and educate all levels of employees on elements of change readiness, how to help them recognize what resistance is and how to personally manage the resistance, address conflict, and effectively communicate.
  • Strong Interpersonal skills – an appreciation of how behavior of the individual drives outcomes; and, how to profile an individual's key behavioral drivers to understand how to relate to people one-on-one. 
  • Proven ability to influence (convince) people that the change will be good and that they have the ability to change. 
  • Strong communication planning skills - including how to coach others to develop effective communication/listening skills to enable advocacy; help employees become advocates or change agents.
  • Bachelor's degree; advanced degree is a plus.
