About the role
We seek a dynamic Operations Manager to join our fast-growing biotech startup. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing day-to-day operations, ensuring the smooth functioning of the company's processes, and contributing to the development and implementation of strategic initiatives. This role requires a highly proactive, adaptable, and results-driven individual who is highly ownership-driven.
Key Responsibilities
Operational management
• Oversee daily operations across various departments, including research and development, people operations, treasury management, finance, office administration, legal affairs.
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to assess operational performance and identify areas for improvement.
Project Management
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion within scope and budget.
• Proactively identify and mitigate project risks and challenges, proposing creative solutions to keep projects on track.
• Projects may include the implementation of strategic initiatives, commercial or research projects, and operational optimization projects.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as business administration, operations management, or biotech/life sciences.
• 2-4 years of experience in operations, project management, or a related role, preferably in a biotech or life sciences company.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Proficiency in project management tools (e.g., Notion, Asana, Trello).
• Adaptable, proactive, and eager to learn in a fast-paced, dynamic startup environment.
