About the Role
BJSS must have market leading offerings across all its services which are constantly evolving to meet demand across the changing technology and customer landscapes.
The Head of Modern Managed Service (MMS) is responsible for devising the BJSS’ MMS Strategy, developing Managed Service solutions that are relevant and appealing to the industry and its modern demands, offering high value and differentiating services that will generate increased business development opportunity, interesting opportunity for our teams and enduring and long-term engagements increasing revenues and strong margin.
The purpose of the role is to increase revenue by creating, defining and commercialising the most compelling and technically excellent MMS for BJSS, and ensuring that all proposals, bids and market facing collateral align with those services by clearly articulating the benefits and value they deliver. As the head of this service, you’ll focus on delivering exceptional service, continuous improvement, and innovation.
This role involves leading a team of consultants, fostering innovation, and delivering exceptional service to clients. Working with a small team of world class experts in this field, you will build strong relationships across our other services and with our regional delivery colleagues to ensure that our MMS are aligned across everything we are building and developing across all our other services. You will work closely with our other service heads and teams to ensure we have a coordinated approach to our clients to maximize the chance of winning business and securing long-term sustainable growth.
Responsibilities
Thought Leadership:
- Serve as the leading MMS expert within BJSS, providing insights and recommendations on emerging technologies and methodologies
- Publish white papers and articles on behalf of the firm to showcase expertise in enterprise architecture
- Speak at conferences and events to represent the firm's thought leadership in the field
Business Development:
Work with the service and delivery teams to drive growth across the organisation and deliver value to clients primarily by developing our service offerings and contributing and leading on commercial offerings such as bids and proposals.
- Collaborate with the business development team to identify new opportunities and contribute to proposals and client presentations
- Provide MMS expertise in client engagements to support the sales process.
- Develop relationships with key technology partners and vendors to support business development efforts
- Take ownership of client accounts, including overall growth and meeting or exceeding revenue targets
- Drive the sales success for the services offered by getting involved in bids, pre-sales and sales activities
Solution Development:
Service Excellence and Continuous Enhancement:
- Ensure that BJSS’ managed services proposals and bids actively transform clients’ digital platforms by continuously enhancing system performance, security, and compliance
- Apply FinOps services strategically to optimise platform expenses.
- Vigorously protect systems, data, and users against emerging threats using a proactive DevSecOps methodology
- Rapidly modernise and economise operations through comprehensive observability, automation, and AIOps integration
Collaboration and Integration:
- Work closely with delivery teams in regions to support them building appropriate Managed Service teams,
- Develop, support and mentor the MMS service team
- Work closely and cross functionally with BJSS stakeholders
Flexible Engagement Models:
- Develop flexible engagement models and tiered service offerings to adapt and evolve with clients’ changing needs
- Combine ITIL and DevSecOps best services to deliver a service that aligns with client goals
- Help to build shared services function
Innovation and Service Improvement:
- Drive excellence through innovation, investing in AIOps and automation
- Reduce costs, improve quality, and enhance customer satisfaction
Data-Driven Observability:
- Provide complete observability into service performance, health, and usage
- Use real-time insights and analytics to make informed decisions
About You
- Extensive experience in MMS consulting, with significant leadership experience in consulting service
- Experience of working with Amazon Managed Services or similar
- Experience of achieving MSP competency status for Microsoft or AWS
- A proven record of accomplishment of successful MMS engagements and service growth
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and develop a high-performing team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with key stakeholders and clients
- Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering practical and innovative solutions
- Experience in change management and the ability to lead a service through transformation and growth
