Position Description The SAP Systems Integration Specialist will be part of the IT team responsible for setting strategy, developing solutions, and delivering results on our business systems technology platform, primarily running on SAP ECC 6.0. The Integration Specialist will lead efforts and be responsible for architecture, design, development, support, maintenance and future roadmaps for a number of strategic enterprise platforms. They will collaborate with IT leadership and other key stakeholders across several areas of the business to identify, prioritize and deliver technology solutions in support of their goals and objectives. This position requires senior level consulting skills with 10+ years of demonstrated experience in broad information technology leadership, strong consulting talent, and demonstrated expertise and knowledge of Mergers & Acquisitions including information technology due diligence, integration planning, applications architecture planning and separation planning. Integration Specialists are polished at forging relationships within the business they serve as well as retaining rapport with other IT groups. Negotiation and getting to consensus are key attributes of the successful Integration Specialist. This is a very visible position requiring excellent interpersonal communication skills with all levels of the organization and will work closely with Business Product Owners, Business IT Analysts, Infrastructure and Application Development teams to understand existing information systems, and identify gaps between business requirements and current system capabilities. The Integration Specialist is responsible for leading the discussions and providing the IT Leadership Team with the required information to make intelligent decisions related to systems integration activity. The SAP Systems Integration Specialist is responsible for developing the overall technical architecture while assisting and directing the technical team in delivering the recommended solution while facilitating collaboration between the business and technology teams to ensure a clear understanding of the solution. Travel to sites in Wisconsin and Maine will be up to 20% as necessary based on project requirements.
Key Job Responsibilities- Design solutions and undertake projects on SAP ECC, SAP related bolt-ons and other application systems and have overall responsibility for the enterprise applications architecture and health and management of these systems.
- Serve as a subject matter expert throughout the organization on SAP ECC 6.0 platform integration questions and troubleshooting efforts.
- Formulate guidelines and standards for to/from integrations with SAP ECC 6.0 platform.
- Provide forward looking vision when designing solutions to maintain flexibility for future integration opportunities.
- Consult with IT leadership to prioritize integration activities, coach appropriate change management/culture actions, and align IT organization assets.
- Coordinate with technology brokers to evaluate new application technologies and service offerings and manage the integration of application and infrastructure services into existing IT systems.
- Understand business requirements and work with process analysts to ensure that integration activities enhance business processes and minimize negative impact.
- Estimate time and resources needed for development work. Functioning as integrators between business needs and technology solutions, helping to create technology solutions to meet business needs
- Defining systems strategy, developing system requirements, processing design, prototyping, and testing custom technology solutions, and supporting system implementation.
- Creating project charters, schedules, and plans, defining project tasks, allocating resources and monitoring project progress.
- Researching user reported issues, identifying root causes and resolutions, implementing fixes, and liaising between business functions, end users, and technical delivery teams.
- Responsible for translating functional specs into application architecture and technical design documents
- Creating technical and functional specifications, including screen layouts, navigation flows, logic diagrams, data models, process models, and pseudo code, to be used for application development.
- Writing functional and technical system requirements and use cases, creating process flow diagrams and finalizing system requirements.
- Performing conceptual and technical designs, including the use of object-oriented analysis and design techniques.
- Identifying and recording key deadlines for the workstream in the engagement to ensure clear communication, organization, and coordination between multiple parties, and constructing a work plan around them that will quickly and effectively achieve goals whilst also allowing for reasonable work time and unexpected delays or pivots.
- Creating clear, effective, and detailed deliverable content, including written, visual, and oral deliverables, which are informed by research, analytics, and meetings.
- Presenting content that addresses needs in solutioning sessions to drive toward a decision, and validating that decision with leadership to drive the company's growth and progress.
Minimum Qualifications Requirements- Candidate must possess knowledge of processes in a manufacturing environment and should be a subject matter expert in SAP Integration.
- Management of numerous successful global SAP implementation/integration/divestiture projects.
- Experience integrating 3rd party applications (Cognos, Informatica, NLink, Datapass, SSRS, etc.) and homegrown applications into SAP ECC platform.
- Knowledge of SAP hybrid scenario integrations and delivery methodology.
- Proven track record running large scale ERP systems integration projects.
- Experience with system to system fit gap analysis as well as system to system field level data mapping.
- Excellent skills and demonstrated experience with leading complex company merger integrations and divestitures.
