Walton Orthodontics is seeking a highly motivated and friendly Orthodontic Dental Assistant to join our busy orthodontic practice. We are looking for someone who enjoys hands-on treatment, has experience working with teens/pre-teens, and is dedicated to providing excellent customer service.

This is a full-time position with workdays from Monday - Friday. Prior orthodontic experience is preferred.

JOB SUMMARY: As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, your primary responsibility will be to provide clinical care and ensure a positive experience for our patients. This includes welcoming patients to the office, seating them, reading their charts, and setting up for the doctor. You will also be responsible for checking patients' treatment progress, advising the doctor on oral health, fitting orthodontic bands and brackets, tying arch wires, taking impressions, assisting in cementing bands and bonding brackets, and maintaining proper cleaning and sterilization practices. Effective communication with patients to educate and motivate them throughout the treatment process is crucial.

Requirements

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

• Prior orthodontic experience and clinical proficiency with a variety of orthodontic appliances is preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in fitting bands and brackets, tying arch wires, and taking accurate impressions.
• Good computer skills are necessary.
• Excellent oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills are required.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment, contributing to a positive and collaborative workplace culture.
• Strong organizational skills with a keen eye for detail to ensure high standards of patient care and record accuracy.
