📣 A bit about the role.
We’re looking for an experienced Senior Growth Product Designer to join our high-performing design team in building incredible digital product experiences for our rapidly growing customer base.
As a senior member of the Digital Product Design Team, you'll work closely with Senior Product Managers and Engineering Teams as well as stakeholders from around the business including Commercial, Marketing, Brand & Creative, and Customer Love.
In this role you can expect to:
- Work on our Acquisition team which focuses on attracting new dog owners to try Butternut - explaining the proposition, personalising the experience to the user and using smart UX decisions and best practice e-commerce knowledge to mitigate friction for the user when signing up.
- Take broad concepts and design end-to-end flows that deliver value to our customers and Butternut across multiple platforms, with a focus on growth.
- Lead and foster a collaborative culture within our team of passionate and driven product designers.
- Find opportunities from understanding and synthesising customer insights and data to solve complex problems into simple and delightful experiences.
- Be in a fast paced environment, have a positive impact and continue to iterate.
- Raise the design quality bar for our Digital Products.
- Evolve designs in our design system and be an ambassador of the Brand.
- Continuously seek to improve yourself, the team and ways of working through feedback.
👋 A bit about you.
- You have a deep understanding of Digital Product Design best-practices and innovation at a senior level.
- You have proven experience in leading large scale growth initiatives, particularly in acquiring and retaining customers, as well as facilitating ideation workshops and design sprints.
- You demonstrate an unwavering customer-centric approach by consistently stress-testing designs through user testing, research, and AB testing, while showcasing a proven track record of delivering impactful digital products that successfully meet long term commercial and customer goals in an agile environment.
- Your communication skills are on-point and you can quickly and easily gather support for your ideas, and champion them with exec-level communication.
- You can make tough decisions quickly, and you're right most of the time.
- We use Figma & Notion as our primary design and communication tools, so you'll need to be willing to make the switch if you haven't used these already.
- Obsessed with dogs. Naturally.

🤩 Our interview process:
- Portfolio review: The hiring manager will review and we will aim to come back to you within 2-3 working days.
- Initial call (30 minutes): Quick introductory chat with our Senior Recruiter.
- Technical interview (60 minutes): Remote interview where you’ll be asked to run through a case study and discuss practical examples from your experience.
- Final interviews (75 minutes): In-person in our office in West London where you’ll get a chance to meet your peers and members of the Senior Leadership team.
ℹ️ Logistics:
- Our product design teams work 3 days per week from our West London office (Monday, Wednesday and Thursday) and 2 days from home. This is non negotiable, so please only apply if you’re within a reasonable commute of London.
