As a leading provider of climate neutrality solutions, First Climate is actively involved in the development and implementation of projects to preserve and increase carbon stocks in forests, soil and other ecosystems. As a member of our Nature Based Solutions (NBS) team, you will play a key role in sustainable NBS projects benefiting the global climate and their local environment.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Source, assess and contract NBS activities
• Coordinate the implementation and certification of NBS activities under acknowledged standards of the voluntary carbon market
• Advise organisations on implementation strategies for their envisioned NBS activities
• Advise our clients on their climate strategies and develop and manage suitable NBS portfolios for them

Specific Requirements

• Master's degree in forestry, agronomy or environmental sciences
• At least 3 years of professional experience in Nature Based Solutions
• Experience in sourcing and developing certified carbon removal projects under recognized carbon credit standards
• Experience in providing strategic advisory to investors and buyers of carbon removals on their NBS activities
• Understanding and assesssing the economics of NBS project activities
• Being acquainted with tools and technologies regarding GIS and remote sensing is a plus
• Self-motivated individual with entrepreneurial spirit, enjoy working in intercultural teams
• Fluent in German and English. Spanish skills are a plus
