Head of Software Engineering - AI (m/f/d)

Silber Salon is a tech startup on a mission to build solutions to uncover the power of AI to educate and empower millions of older adults globally. To achieve that, we’ve developed an AI product designed specifically for older adults called Lotti that acts as an interactive companion to simplify technology for our users. With Lotti we build confidence and proficiency and ensure that our older adult population remains integrated and engaged in a rapidly advancing digital world.

We raised a €1m pre-seed round from renowned VC funds (FJ Labs, IBB Ventures) and have launched our MVP.

We are seeking an ambitious and hands-on Head of Software Engineering based in Berlin to join our team, focus on scalability of our platform and build a strong technical team around them. In close collaboration with our CEO & Founder Joya, you will help to set up the tech team of Silber Salon and our AI Lotti.

This position is ideal for someone who is looking to join a founding team and have tons of impact.

Tasks

What you will work on:

• Technical strategy: Responsible for the technological/architectural realignment of our software products and implementing transparent processes in software development for our commercial success.
• Data: manage and analyze product coming from our data warehouse.
• Product development: actively contribute to the product development roadmap together with the CEO
• Venture building: Hiring, team planning, technical due diligence, investor reporting and everything else a founder has to take care of.

Requirements

• Academic background: you have a BSc in Computer Science, software engineering or a similar field
• Tech-stack: You have at least 4 years of experience in software development and confidently use tools like TypeScript, Next.js, HTML, SCSS, TailwindCSS, Node.js, React, React Native, Expo, Langchain, Vercel, Google Cloud Firebase & Firestore, Hotjar, Mixpanel, LogRocket, Git. You are able to develop and run applications on iOS and android.
• Language: English at a professional level and German as nice-to-have.
• Project Management: Your strong organizational and project management skills allow you to manage a team of diverse individuals to meet a common goal.
• Ambition and willingness to learn: You are highly motivated to turn ideas into action and continuously strive to learn new things and take on challenges.Result-Oriented: Focus on achieving measurable outcomes and results. Ability to manage complex inner- and cross-corporate complexities and intricacies.
