Quality & Risk Manager - Medical AI Software (w/d/m | 60-100%)

What we are doing

Our mission is to prevent vision loss and ultimately blindness by developing AI software that assists eye doctors in therapy planning for their patients. We use computer vision deep learning models (AI) trained on thousands of cases and millions of images to identify and predict disease progression. The decision support algorithm targets widespread eye diseases like Age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD, 7.5mio affected in Germany alone).

Tasks

Your responsibilities as Quality & Risk Manager

• Support maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS) and Risk management according to EN ISO 14971
• Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and templates
• Product release management

Requirements

Your must-haves

• First applied experience with ISO 13485, Medical Device Regulation (MDR), and Risk Management
• Strong organizational and planning skills, detail-oriented with a strong focus on quality
• Excellent English + German, especially in writing short & precise
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in science or engineering

Your nice-to-haves

• Experience with Software-as-a-Medical Device (SaMD)
• Basic knowledge of AI development
