Aufgaben
Plastics material specification:
- Keep technical/regulatory information on plastic raw materials used within operations of Mauser Packaging Solutions International up to date.
- Follow up, document and communicate status of qualification of individual plastic materials (e.g. GGR003, food contact compliance etc.)
- Administer/update respective information within establiches company IT-platforms
Plastics material qualification:
- Select / compare /advice plastic raw materials based on available data
- Define necessary qualification steps for qualification of alternative plastic materials per individual applications
- In collaboration with other departments – schedule and follow up on necessary actions, processing trials and performance testing linked to plastic raw material qualification
- In support to engineering and processing – elaborate processability and optimum processing of individual materials per specific equipment
Technical support:
- Procurement: Technical support in all plastic raw material related issues towards suppliers
- SHEQ: Technical support on major quality issues potentially linked to plastic raw material issues
- Sales: Technical support on plastic raw material related questions of clients, g. chemical compatibility
Development:
- Screening of new raw material developments and trends on plastics / compounds & masterbatches
- Select best suitable plastic materials for R&D projects in support to development engineers plastic and IBC
- Idea generation for use of new/alternative materials within MIPS product portfolio – internal communication of such potentials.
Product Carbon Footprint / LCA:
- LCA modeling of packaging solutions serviced by MIPS (Europe) in GaBi (LCA-software)
- Support continious improvement of MIPS (Europe) LCA approach in collaboration with Head of R&D and Sustainability Management
- Service upcoming EDS & EPS requests via established PowerBI LCA plattform
Qualifikation
- Ing. Mechanical Engineering (Focus: Plastic) or equal Dipl. Ing. Material Science (Focus: Plastic) or equal Dipl. Chemist (Focus: Polymers) or equal
- Knowledge on material Characteristics of plastics and plastic processing (polyole-fins in specific), related regulatory and chemical compatibility Advance knowledge in LCA modeling an GaBi software Profound technical English and German language skills
- 3-5 years of experience in the area of technical evaluation of plastic materials and/or the processing of plastic materials and/or the development of plastics materials and polyolefins in specifics
- Office Software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Technical Communication and Teamwork
