ABOUT THE ROLE:

As we continue to experience rapid growth, we are seeking an innovative and skilled Instructional Designer to join our Learning Enablement team. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in designing and developing learning experiences that support the successful integration and onboarding of new customers, foster the continuous development of existing customers' proficiency with our product and industry standards, and enable education for our partners.
As our company's influence and client base expand, it is essential for us to maintain the highest standards in customer education and partner enablement. Your expertise in learning experience design or instructional design will be instrumental in ensuring that our customers and partners can leverage our product to its fullest potential, thereby contributing to our customers’ satisfaction, retention and the overall success of Talon.One.
ONCE YOU ARE HERE YOU WILL:
- Design and Development: Own the end-to-end design, development, and release of new learning materials. This includes video, scenario-based training, simulations, documents, job aids, etc. Utilize a variety of delivery modalities such as self-paced micro-learning, instructor-led training (ILT), and virtual instructor-led training (VILT).
- Content Consistency: Ensure all learning materials are consistent, up-to-date, and in line with established design standards and guidelines.
- Needs Analysis: Conduct thorough audience, needs, and gaps analysis to identify learning requirements and opportunities for improvement.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Establish and nurture positive relationships with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and impactful learning experiences.
- Assessment Design: Develop assessments that effectively validate learners' knowledge and skills acquisition.
- Feedback and Data Analysis: Collect and analyze feedback and data to measure the impact of learning solutions, ensuring alignment with business and learning goals. Proactively identify areas for improvement, and implement changes to enhance learning content effectiveness.
WHAT WE NEED YOU TO BRING TO THE TABLE:
- 3+ years of experience as an Instructional Designer, Learning Experience Designer or equivalent role, with a track record of designing and developing digital learning content across various modalities, including micro-learning, ILT, VILT, and video.
- Experience working in SaaS or technology organizations and collaboration with technical SMEs.
- Proficient in industry-standard learning development tools such as Articulate 360, Camtasia, Premiere Pro, etc.
- Demonstrated proficiency with instructional design tools, processes, and methodologies, including creating training plans, content/video scripts, design documents, and storyboards.
- Experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) with xAPI and Learning Experience Platforms (LXP).
- Autonomous and comfortable thriving in a dynamic, fast-moving environment where you can contribute to shaping our learning strategies.
- Exceptional communication skills with the ability to articulate complex concepts simply.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and foster a collaborative environment.
