As Technical Application Project Manager / Engineer (m/f/d) you take the project lead in the realization of customer application projects in the field of Security, Crowd Analytics and Volume Measurement on-site/remotely and enable the customer to work with our Lidar solution. You bring a strong mix of project management and technical skills to the table and you like to work and learn in both fields. Together with your technically diverse and motivated colleagues, you use state-of-the-art LiDAR sensors and software for environment perception to create actionable data for our customers. In doing so, you will thoroughly understand the requirements of our key customers, find creative solutions and steer the projects pro-actively and well structured to success. With your technical skills you will also help implement our solutions. Together with our great team you will conquer new and exciting application areas and actively shape the LiDAR world of the future!

Your tasks
- You lead cross-functional project teams (e.g. application engineering, Software development, Mechanical Engineering, Business Development) including resource planning, creating and maintaining project plans, as well as identifying and mitigating project risks
- You strongly interact with our customers and steer the project towards customer satisfaction
- You understand how our solutions can efficiently solve customer's problems and technically consult the customer (e.g. use-case analysis, feasibility, sensor layout, product choice, hw/sw product configuration) technically and on product/solution level
- You join Sales initiatives in which you take over the technical and project parts, i.e. understand requirements, assess feasibility, ideate solutions, answer technical questions and provide demos
- You also work technically in dedicated fields, e.g. you plan / simulate sensor coverage layouts, workout suitable network architectures, sensor mounting, work out solution for hw/sw integration, write small scripts, prepare PCs
- You feed back market and customer requirements directly in the product development process
- Contribute your methodical knowledge and work on our future project management standards, tools and processes and/or technical tools
Your profile
- You have a university degree in a MINT discipline (e.g. engineering, physics, computer science etc.) or in business administration/management with a strong focus of technology
- You have sound practical experience in planning and realizing customer projects (both POC and large installations), ideally in the area of optical sensors, robotics, computer vision
- You take ownership, you are a hands-on, collaborative and pro-active person, creative problem solver and approach challenges structured and analytical
- You are strong in project planning and aggregating complex tasks to the important points
- You have a proven track record in leading projects including both Hardware and Software development while combining agile and sequential development methods (hybrid PM)
- Your work method is structured, methodical, solution-oriented and comprehensive
- You have very good communication skills in German and English (verbal, written)
- You have proven experience working with Linux, Python scripting and with optical sensors an project management tools. 3D modelling, ROS and network knowledge are a plus
- You are proficient in cross-functional work and confident in finding solutions for unforeseen events
