Web Designer (all genders)

Your mission

As a Web Designer you’ll work as part of our Design & Consult team in Hamburg and help our German-speaking small and medium-sized businesses with their shop design needs and projects.

As part of your tasks, you will implement individual designs for online shops using ePages ecommerce shop software. In doing so, you will consider best practices regarding graphic design, ease-of-use, conversion optimization, and SEO.

Your tasks include exchanging with clients regarding shop functions, as well as the creation and implementation of beautiful and target-oriented designs. Your work will make a significant contribution to the business success of our customers.

You will work in close contact with our marketing team as well as product, sales and support teams. We love to exchange ideas and collaborate!

• Qualifications: Whether you've studied media design, undergone vocational training, or gained experience in the field, we're eager to learn about your expertise!
• Skillset: Proficiency in crafting user-centric designs, especially using HTML, CSS, and responsive web design principles.
• Tools of the Trade: Mastery of Adobe Suite and familiarity with prototyping tools like Figma and XD, as well as mockup utilities.
• Client Communication: You listen well, are empathetic, and communicate articulately.
• Interest in E-commerce: You have a keen interest in ecommerce. While prior experience is a plus, if you're new to it, we're happy to introduce you to this exciting and growing field!
• Languages: Business-level proficiency in German and a strong command of English.

Nice to have

• Expertise in CSS preprocessors.
• Familiarity with ticket systems such as JIRA or Zammad.
• Knowledge of or experience with WordPress or other ecommerce platforms.
