We are seeking an experienced Lead Mechatronics Engineer (m/f/x) at ParkDepot to join our team and lead the development and implementation of mechatronic systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical, electrical, and software engineering, with a focus on integrating these disciplines to create complex mechatronic systems. The Lead Mechatronics Engineer will be responsible for overseeing the engineering and production of all mechatronics systems offered by the company (such as cameras, parking terminals and various displays).

What to expect

• Teamlead: You will lead a team of engineers in the development of mechatronic systems, including mechanical, electrical, and software components for all hardware products of the company.
• Crossfunctional teamwork: You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and develop solutions that meet those requirements
• Development and Design: Develop and maintain project schedules and budgets
• Keep the overview:
  • You will create and maintain design documentation, including specifications, schematics, and assembly drawings
  • Lead testing and verification activities, including creating test plans and performing tests to validate system functionality
• Stay up-to-date:
  • Be informed with the latest technologies and industry trends in mechatronics and related fields
  • Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new projects
  • Participate in design reviews and provide technical guidance to other engineers

• What we use: We use Serverless Python functions for our Microservices and GPU enhanced microcontrollers to run our deep learning models on the edge and store the data in the AWS cloud
• We are agile: You will take a great part in shaping our engineering standards - you will be highly involved in how the software architecture will be designed and how future features can be released

Inspire us by

• Your background: You have 7+ years of experience in mechatronics design and development, including experience in leading projects and teams
• Your expertise: You have proficiency in mechanical design software (e.g., SolidWorks) and electrical design software (e.g., Altium)
• Your experience:
  • You have experience with designing, engineering and maintaining outdoor mechatronics systems (exposed to snow, rain, sun and wind)
  • You are experienced with product development processes, including design for manufacturing, testing, and verification
• Your are a problem solver: You have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop creative and innovative solutions to complex problems
• Your soft skills: You have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Your knowledge: You have a deep knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to mechatronics and related fields
• Language Skills: You have strong written and spoken English and German skills (level C1 on the CEFR scale)
