As the super-platform for non-professional soccer in Europe, we bring pro-level experiences (news, data, gamification) to the mega-community of +190 million footballers and soccer fans.
We are a startup founded in 2021 in Cologne - the team includes 30 smart and 'hungry' members working on Prematch from our offices in Cologne & Berlin (Marketing & Business team) and remotely from all over Europe (Tech & Product team). On top we have support from successful investors who run the business at Amazon, DAZN & ESL.

Main information
- remote option: you decide - 100% remote (Germany or EU-wide), top office in Cologne/Berlin or a combination of both
- Start: Immediately (flexible start)
- Scope: 40 hours (full time)
- Areas of Responsibility: Backend+DevOps
- Current Tech Stack that we use: python, kubernetes, grafana, AWS, pulumi, GitLab CI

For this we need you
- Take the lead (technically) on our DevOps efforts, but not do it alone.
- Enable others in the team to improve our DevOps practices.
- Keep our infrastructure balanced with scalability and costs in mind.

Your mission
- You maintain our cloud infrastructure using infrastructure-as-code tools like Pulumi.
- You ensure the stability, scalability, and security of our infrastructure to grow Prematch to become the biggest football platform in the world.
- You keep our architecture clean to keep us moving at a rapid pace, keeping in mind scalability and costs.
- You consider monitoring a piece critical in any infrastructure.
What do you need
- You have 2+ years of experience in DevOps with IaC tools like Pulumi doing GitOps
- Desire to automate all the things
- Experience with cloud-native software like Kubernetes and Grafana
Advantage but not a must
- Experience in development with Python and REST APIs
