My client is a growing lifestyle hotel group looking for a commercially minded Revenue professional to join their team. Job responsibilities: Lead and develop the revenue management and distribution strategy and manage day to day yielding operations. Provide daily pick up analysis with strategy adjustments implemented and reported. Perform market intelligence gathering activities and benchmarking studies to understand the effect of our competitors on our strategy with recommendations on amendments put forward. Provide weekly dynamic analysis of business on the books, budget variance and forecast. Lead tactical promotion delivery to drive results where performance requires intervention. Conduct weekly revenue management meetings with hotels and their respective GMs within the group to ensure collaboration and instill a revenue management culture. Manage and lead the overall distribution strategy with responsibility for developing relationships with all third party distribution partners to ensure we are maximising channel opportunities including OTAs, GDS partners and wholesaler partners. Create and develop pricing strategies for all segments in conjunction with sales and Head of Commercial to ensure competitiveness whilst maintaining a keen focus on key revenue management metrics. Analyse overall group monthly performance, providing month end reporting with summary report of recommendations to improve long term strategies. Responsible for the Reservations team and working closely with reservations manger to deliver central reservations. Provide Line Manager support to Reservations Manager, with specific focus on creating and sustaining the highest standards and operations of Reservations Team. In conjunction with Head of Commercial have overall responsibility for ‘book direct' strategies and/or drive to non-commissionable business to improve bottom line performance. Ensure all systems and channels are configured and implemented accurately in line with company standards. Responsible for best practice standards in the field of revenue management and distribution to include competitor analysis, distribution yield management, business mix management, length of stay strategies, channel availability management, pricing control and inventory management. Evaluate performance of distribution partners and put strategies in place to ensure delivery of results. Reduce the cost of distribution by being aware of market trends and improvements in technology that lead to new routes to market. Lead the annual budget process, analysing prior performance and use market intelligence to make informed recommendations. Desired Experience, Skills & Attributes: 3 + years of revenue management experience gained within a hotel environment. 2 + years of experience in developing people is preferable. Detailed knowledge of revenue management strategies, pricing strategies and influencing factors with a focus on forecasting accuracy. A keen interest in professional development and continuous learning with a desire to try new approaches and tactics, learning from results and ultimately driving innovation. A commercially minded collaborator who understands the sales and marketing cycle. Deep knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Preferably with experience in using Mews PMS, SiteMinder, SynXis and Salesforce SaaS products. Has experience in opening new properties and partnering with colleagues across business areas to achieve desired results. Holds a ‘can do' approach with a positive mindset, always up for a challenge and a team player who values the support of their colleagues. A natural leader who can bring people together to do great things, always looking to improve or do better, never settling for the status quo. Brings creativity into the workplace, looking at influence outside of industry to engage with our customers, our people and our community in exciting and intuitive ways.
