The Opportunity In this permanent position as our SAP Finance and HR Product Manager, you will own the end-to-end Service Delivery for all applications within the Finance and HR portfolio area. This role is responsible for delivering high quality functional support, advice, governance and business stakeholder engagement. You will also act as a trusted advisor to the business and work collaboratively with senior management, end users and Technology colleagues to deliver solution configuration enhancements and a roadmap of improvement projects relating to current solutions. You will ensure the technologies and systems are delivered using best practice, are cost controlled, business-focused and are highly responsive. You will be an empathetic leader, supporting your team to deliver exceptional customer service to the business community whilst delivering continuous service improvement in both system performance and customer satisfaction. You will work with our Finance and HR stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement improvements to both Financial and Technology processes, procedures and reporting. Your responsibilities will include: Providing functional expertise, guidance and leadership on leveraging the capabilities of SAP FICO and Non-SAP solutions to colleagues and business stakeholders.Acting as the principal liaison with Finance and HR stakeholders to identify, recommend, analyse and implement solution and process improvements across the SAP FICO module and HR products.Presenting ideas and recommendations on improvements to financial and HR processes and procedures to senior Finance, HR and Technology stakeholders.Providing SME assistance to programmes and projects inputting into workshops and planning sessions, providing advice where required ensuring the live environment is protected.Owning the end-to-end delivery of all user support for the relevant portfolio of applications both within the UK and overseas.Managing all applications to ensure up-to-date best practice support processes, support plans, 3rd party supplier SLA’s, architecture diagrams and ensuring all service contracts are in place.Managing any major incidents ensuring timely resolution of the issue and appropriate communication and escalation to the Head of SAP, the rest of Technology and business users.Ensuring all new solutions and enhancements being developed are effectively & thoroughly tested and have appropriate support services in place prior to go-live.Enhancing the service provided moving from a reactive to proactive approach focusing on prevention rather than fix.Reviewing the processes for handling all Incident and Request calls looking for ways to continuously improve the service provided to the business.Ensuring a process of Continual Service Improvement is in place for all applications and processes, identifying potential areas for improvement and implementing a plan where it is appropriate to do so.Working with Finance and HR to manage periodic processing including exchange rates, running consistency checks, and other system month end and year end tasks. Team management: Lead a small team of functional and support analysts to deliver exceptional service, developing and implementing best practice processes and procedures across the department (in on-shore and off-shore model).Performance management of the team, ensuring regular 1-1’s, team meetings and PDR reviews are held.Manage the workload of the team ensuring areas of responsibility are understood, knowledge share becomes second nature and appropriate documentation is in place.Support and mentor team members to identify their career aspirations and help them identify potential avenues for progression. What you’ll bring: Strong configuration and testing skills in the area of SAP FICO and exposure to Non-SAP finance solutions.Accountancy background with experience of double entry bookkeeping, P&L, Balance Sheet, Accruals, Management & Statutory Reporting.Solid understanding of the business and the SAP product set in order to effectively analyse and successfully implement an optimal SAP solution.High level of people management experience.Proven experience of dealing with 3rd party suppliers in an offshore arrangement.Extensive experience in the use of ERP systems, over and above SAP FI/CO including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, New GL, Profit Centre Accounting, Cost Centre Accounting, Cost Accounting, Bank Accounting, Report painter and Query.
