Were looking for a Development Architect to join our IT team in Leighton Buzzard or Milton Keynes. You will co-ordinate, manage and advance the architecture and technical aspects of the companys internally developed systems. The role can be remote with the need to travel to our Milton Keynes or Leighton Buzzard office twice a month. The IT Solutions & Development team develops and maintains business applications, websites and reporting for all business units and subsidiaries across Connells Group. IT Solutions & Development comprises of the following key areas: Application Development Online Development Data Development Business Solutions Key Responsibilities: Design and oversee designs for systems integration for internally developed systems Keep up-to-date regarding best practices in software development and deployment Ownership of best practice coding across Developers Contribute to improve the overall development processes and methodologies followed by development teams Contribute to and help decide on future systems development platforms / key architecture decisions Contribute to upskilling the team through guidance and training Maintain a subject-matter-expert level of knowledge in internal systems architecture Experience & skills: Essential Excellent C# skills including strong experience in web and Windows application development Excellent skills in SQL Server Experience and understanding in high performing architectures in an enterprise environment Good written and verbal communication skills Team working mentality Experience feeding data to internal and external sources Knowledge of architecture design tools Desirable An understanding and / or experience of working in Cloud technologies such as Azure Knowledge of event based / Microservice architecture Experience of single page web application frameworks e.g. Blazor, Angular WPF Personal Attributes: Willingness to own issues and chase them through to completion, communicating effectively and in a timely manner, throughout Helpful, courteous and experienced in dealing with user issues and frustrations with in a high-pressure environment Good team communication, with experiences in sharing and presenting new ideas and approaches with the team Willingness to learn, adopt and advance team best-practices, procedures and qualitative standards Connells Group is one of the largest and most successful estate agency and property services providers in the UK and as of March 2021 also encompasses Countrywide.
