Global Account DirectorApply fast, check the full description by scrolling below to find out the full requirements for this role.- UK or Sweden- to £140k plus bonus and Package A leading Facilities Management organisation is urgently seeking and experienced Global Account Director to join their thriving organisation on an exciting client account.With a large contract value the majority of services will be soft with some hard services also in scope.This is a hands on role where you need to be visible on sites to gain a full grasp of what is going on.We require someone with a partnership approach who can build a great relationship with the client.This role reports into the COO.Purpose of the Job.? Leads activities and teams globally for one or more global accounts within Strategic Accounts.? To mobilise, lead and manage all service activities across the account portfolio (new and existing), working with the client and all internal operations and deliver consistency in our offer ? To provide strategic leadership to the global contract to deliver significant business growth ? Accountable for the strategic goals for the client, including the achievement of the account(s) total economic and commercial performance ? Develop business strategy in line with current and emerging client needs to meet the unique requirements of the client and alignment with the Strategic Accounts strategy ? Continually seek ways to maximise profitability and enhance service quality by driving excellence and innovations in service delivery and pushing for more efficient service delivery and cost efficiencies ? Embedded throughout the account team, deliver sustainability, innovation and global simplification, through the implementation of transformation and change programs, maximising operational excellence and maintaining process improvement and a relentless pursuit of service excellence and efficiencies ? Develop and provide global capability to ensure the provision of all necessary facilities management competencies, including relevant specialist and technical professionals for high risk regulated activities ? Adopt a partnership approach with account teams and client entities by developing cultural alignment to ensure the contract is executed in the best interest of us and the client ? To provide thought leadership on Quality of Life ? Act as the key strategic interface between our client(s), Our Directors and functional delivery teams developing a global community of best practice and expertise ? To actively work globally, as a key member of the Strategic Account leadership team, and in partnership with Regional leadership teams.? Develop and foster strong relationships at all levels within the client organisation to ensure strong retention and identify new business opportunities.Ensure the Clients for Life programme is implemented and sustained across all clients ? Ensure compliance with the contract and resolve any disputes quickly and fairly Characteristics ? This role has impact beyond revenue/profit that the position is managing ? The role requires higher volume of relationship management and at higher levels within the organisation to work effectively across borders ? Management of stakeholders across geographies (dysfunctional) & working within a matrix organisation ? Can clearly articulate values and direction ? Balancing cost control and service performance 5.Main assignments Indicate the main activities / duties to be conducted in the job.Leadership ? Provide confident, visible leadership, ensuring standards are set and delivered, talent and resources are utilised optimally, client relationships are nurtured and developed and all opportunities for best practice and capability growth are leveraged ? Selecting, managing, engaging, and developing highly performing and diverse account team, with right skills and capabilities, particularly technical/professional skills are acquired and developed in line with contract(s), client and segment needs ? Ensuring organisational design and capacity management, with flexible operating models that adapt to reflect that size shape and growth of the organisation ? Deployment of the strategy across the contract(s), including long range planning, and ensuring that effective plans are in place to deliver against strategy.? Coach managers to ensure that employees performance is managed through the performance management processes and talent development and succession planning activities take place ? Identifies talent and manages strengths and weaknesses through mentoring, coaching and development plans ? Ensure that the appropriate training and development plans are in place for all employees within the business to ensure that statutory requirements are met, and development training activities are carried out and recorded to assist with career development and succession planning ? Lead and attend governance requirements in line with the client contract & expectations ? Manage the team and provide them with guidance on operational issues to ensure the business objectives are met by effectively guiding team members performance by a structured process of target setting, performance management, recognition, reward and development plans.Ensure that success is celebrated.Operations/Compliance ? Delivery of Excellence in Risk, Compliance and Quality Management Ensuring the protocols, processes and capabilities are in place to deliver all technical/regulatory requirements for the safe and commercial ongoing management of these specialist contract(s) ? Implement transformation and change management programs, maximising operational excellence, maintaining process improvement and service development ? Take overall responsibility for ensuring the contract perform to budget and achieve their business plans and improve financial performance utilising nominated suppliers, maximising labour productivity in line with Company models, policies and procedures and controlling costs ? Ensure compliance and engagement with nominated suppliers in line with our policy and ensure suppliers have undergone rigorous safety checks through the Vendor Governance Team (to gain best market value prices), labour management and forecasting performance against budget, audit controls etc.? Ensure the successful mobilisation, transition and deployment of new growth opportunities and services ? Take overall responsibility for ensuring that contract(s) are operated within their contractual terms, have a client business plan which is reviewed at least quarterly showing key objectives, goals and measures that link to the overall business plan and strategy for the segment ? Recruit, induct, motivate, manage, train and develop all employees following HR policy and guidelines ? Ensure the business complies with all Company and client policies and procedures/site rules, standards and statutory regulations and that licenses and qualifications are met and retained, and consequences managed appropriately ? Take overall responsibility for ensuring the contract perform to budget and achieve their business plans and improve financial performance utilising nominated suppliers, maximising labour productivity in line with Company models, policies and procedures and controlling costs ? Maximise the profitability of the contract within area of responsibility and deliver the required financial and service level results using the principals of contract design and management ? Ensuring that all aspects of the business are conducted in accordance with all relevant statutory requirements and Codes of Practice.? Ensure that health and safety is given the number one priority by driving and embedding a Zero Harm culture across the organisation and by delivering all Safeguard administration in advance of and during logistical operations ? Take overall accountability for Health and Safety and training plans ? Own the risks and risk register and monitoring risks through account teams ? Ensure continuous oversight of all business continuity plans and ensure they relate to wider plans to maximise efficiencies ? Take overall accountability for delivering services to the agreed specification and service level agreements/standards required by the contract within your assigned area ? Deliver profitable and sustainable business both financial and operationally ? Drive innovation and continuous improvement of people, systems, processes and offer ? Work with the Service Operations, Transversal Functions, Segment operational & functional teams to ensure a standardised, consistent and compliant approach is implemented across the region (e.g.HR, Communications, Technical Services, EHS, OE) ? Bring added value to the client by delivering expected transformation, areas such as workplace experience.Delivery of extra works and capital project delivery ? Work with clients to deploy new technologies & MI to enhance reporting and decision making ? Embed a Diversity, Equity and Inclusion culture into the organisation in line with strategys vision, programming, and policies Financial Control ? Ensure that committed targets are met or exceeded and that costs and revenues are closely managed ? Ensure clarity on performance and provide the means to respond rapidly to any threats to financial performance.Measures include revenue growth, profitability and contract CPIS and EHS targets ? Take overall responsibility for ensuring the contract perform to budget and achieve their business plans and improve financial performance utilising procurement and supply chain leverage, maximising labour productivity in line with Company models (temporary, fixed, consulting labour), policies and procedures and controlling costs ? Set and agree overall annual budgets with finance and develop unit business plans and local area plans which link to the overall account & segment strategy and objectives ? Understand the contract scope and form within area of responsibility (e.g.payment mechanisms and procedures and variation control) and their importance to managing a site and the services provided including the ability to calculate the rewards and penalties of meeting or not meeting KPIs ? Robust governance and control of: P&L, Capex, Balance Sheet, Overhead Control, Budget, Planning, Goods receipting, Debt management ? Analyse and review all financial measures and tools to ensure positive financial performance through accurate forecasting and account management ? Ensure that all commercial activities maximise shareholder value and return on assets and capital employed Client and Growth ? Engaging the operational senior relationships with key clients on a routine basis and lead by example in providing excellence in contract/relationship management ? Support the business development team in identifying opportunities with existing and new clients to maximise profit and growth and sell additional services ? Ability to interpret and understand contract for the account(s) managed with an ability to negotiate within the boundaries of the contract ? Commercial and financial management of contract with focus on looking forward to next three years and analysis of future trends ? Develop long term client relationships with clients and agents to understand clients future expectations for the account and develop the model to meet those using the Clients for Life process, methodology and toolkit including facilitating and attending Expectations and TARP meetings ? Deliver strategic account management through the leadership of account managers, developing solutions and measuring performance against contract SLAs, growth of accounts, selling in service lines and key lead role for contract retender when applicable Accountabilities ? Contract(s) are performing to SLAs and budget and costs are being controlled by promoting cross-departmental efficiencies to assist in the control of labour costs ? Transformation and/or continuous improvement plans in place for specific clients and specific services ? Measurably strong client perception and satisfaction with services delivered ? Services are delivered to the required level across all service portfolio, service excellence as standard ? Safety, Health and Environmental compliance in all activities ? High team engagement and high employee retention Person Specification ? An accomplished executive with over 10 years experience on both the client and/or supply side (IFM, Procurement, Commercial Real Estate) ? A passion for IFM, employee and workplace experience, and building strong relationships ? Must be able to demonstrate a passion for putting the end user at the heart of everything we do and create a user experience to enable productivity and engagement in the client strategy ? Operate at a level where strong strategic relationships are forged to drive value and innovation ? Looks for constant improvement and can challenge the status quo (with humility) ? Led & delivered multiple strategic outsourcing projects ? First-hand knowledge in creating offers and solutions that are relevant and differentiated ? Proven financial acumen essential with commercial experience and business acumen ? Proven experience in identifying new business ? Active listener with excellent communication, influencing and facilitation skills ? High standards of numeracy and written communication, particularly sales/bid copy ? Continuous professional curiosity in industry/specialism Desirable ? Knowledge of the highly regulated Life Science/Pharmaceutical environment or FMCG manufacturing environment etc (client dependent) ? Representative and active involvement on Industry bodies ? Facilities, Engineering, Technical, Business and other relevant degree/qualification Other relevant information ? Regular international travel and overnight stays will be required ? To relieve and assist in other establishments in certain circumstances ? To attend meetings and training courses as requested ?
