Division / site information The Recombinant Proteins TSS operates within the Biosciences Division (BID) and has the responsibility for sales across a focused portfolio of products in the assigned territory. The ideal candidate will apply sales experience, knowledge of relevant scientific fields (stem cell research, immunology, and organoid research), product expertise, market intelligence, and territory leadership skills to grow sales and profitability. Remotely based within the designated region, the TSS will interact with customers through face-to-face meetings, teleconferences, and email communications. Position Summary : This role focuses on our existing and potential Academic customers in North United Kingdom. The role is customer facing to gain deep understanding of the industry's research and manufacturing requirements and will support PeproTech brand products. The role may involve some travelling into other territories. Key Responsibilities : Be an integral part and great teammate in achieving the overall Company and Sales Team objectives. To deliver, or directly assist in delivering, sales growth in line with the sales plan whilst delivering exceptional customer service and support. Communicate PeproTech Brand product strengths, benefits and advantages to customers, and would-be customers, at all times to positively distinguish the portfolio from the competitors and to further improve awareness of our brand and values. Be conscientious by meeting deadlines, providing reports on time and as requested, being organised and communicating openly and effectively at all times. Be customer focused - discuss, plan and implement proposals to meet customer & business needs; ensure that all follow-up tasks are performed within an appropriate time frame. Actively participate and contribute to team discussions and planning exercises with openness, honesty, positivity and integrity. Utilise the Salesforce CRM Database efficiently and accurately at all times and use as the number one sales tool. Conduct general administrative duties such as providing quotations, documenting sales opportunities, and other duties as required. Be pro-active in client communications. Always strive to qualify new leads by telephone, email and, where appropriate, face to face visits to ensure that carefully nurtured client relationships are maintained yet maximised. Assist in special projects, sales analysis and information-gathering exercises based on accounts and competitors Derive and implement strategic territory and account plans to achieve sales targets and KPIs. Meet the agreed sales targets and Global KPIs. Nurture existing customer relationships and actively seek & develop new relationships within accounts. Build an intimate understanding of sales potential, research themes, buying behaviour, competitor presence & activity within accounts. Understand competitor activity within territory and report findings/changes together with win/loss cases to Sales & Marketing Team Organise, plan, implement and report on effective sales visits to territories; 8 quality events per week are expected when out in the field visiting customers; a minimum of 16 days per month in the field. Ensure maximum 'closing' of sales opportunities using available 'sales-tools' and appropriate techniques whilst always working within the PeproTech ethos and culture. Attend relevant industry exhibitions and conferences, within and outside of designated territory as required. Effectively employ telephone communication with customers to qualify new leads, proceed opportunities, make appointments, follow-up campaigns and to support other departments as required. Provide weekly updates, monthly and quarterly sales reports & analysis, visit reports post travel, and other reports as required. Liaise with marketing team to provide relevant details and customer contacts for marketing campaigns Work closely with the Product Manager - GMP Portfolio to increase sales and market knowledge for the GMP product portfolio. Minimum Qualifications : Relevant Science Degree Hands-on experience with cell biology and cell culture techniques required. Prior field-based and or customer-facing experience is preferred.
