You will be instrumental in assisting our new FP&A Analyst as our Finance department grows.Candidates should understand the importance of exceptional personable skills to accompany technical knowledge. We’re seeking intelligent, diligent, and friendly colleagues who can combine their existing understanding with newly acquired skills to become an asset to our highly valued team. You will be reporting into the Head of IT.Responsibilities & DutiesResponsible for obtaining and organising all company data from various systems (EPOS & PMS)Use technical expertise to ensure data is accurate and high quality for management reportingUsing automated tools to extract data from all locations and sourcesRemove corrupted data and fix coding errors and related problemsDevelop and maintain our groups Database and systems to a readable format for our new FP&A AnalystFilter data by reviewing reports and performance indicatorsProvide statistical tools to identify, analyse and interpret patterns and trends across all data sets that could help the business.Working with 3rd parties to understand all our company data to store in one location to improve reportingAdministration of existing SQL server databaseDaily monitoring of all databases and data setsProtects data with developing data security controlsKeeps up to date with technological developmentsRequired SkillsGood Experience and technical skills in Programming languages in SQL, Power BI, Excel, VBA, Python and othersCleansing, Analysing, Preparing and Exploring dataAbility to breakdown and deliver the needs of the businessExcellent analytical and communication skills.Work experience as a Data analyst in a related fieldLiaison and collaboration skills to work with others to undertake roleGood interpersonal skills and the ability to relate to a wide range of peopleStrong personal organisational skills with the ability to take responsibility for managing his/her own workloadAbility to create databases from scratch and to develop existing frameworks and create reporting dashboardsDesirableMinimum of 2-3 years of experience in database and project management, including programming, data mining, analysis, and reporting.BA or masters in computer science, information systems, mathematics, machine learning, or similar (or a data analytics certification acquired through a specific program).Experience of SQL Server Analysis Services or similar.Experience working with large structured and unstructured datasets.Benefits25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), plus an extra paid holiday in the month of your birthdayStatutory Pension50% off food in any of our Inns for up to 6 people£1 bed and breakfast stay in any of our Inns during January, February, or March1/3 off room bookings all year roundIt will be based working in our new Central Support Office in Newcastle, but with the option of some home working once the initial training period has been successfully completed.
