Project Manager-MEP | Kent | Office Based | Occasional visits to project sites for meetings as and when required | Full Time | £60,000-£80,000 Dependant on experience Since 2009, our client has provided hundreds of homeowners and business owners with a water recycling solution that will save water and money for years to come. They are an exciting, dynamic company working in an industry which is on the cusp of a dramatic breakthrough. Water recycling, both Greywater and Rainwater are now being driven by authority, government, and legislation to be incorporated in new building designs. The company operates within the water and energy sectors specifically dealing with sustainable technologies. Preferred qualifications and credentials Min Mechanical and/or Piping Engineering qualification More than 5 years of progressive experience in Project Management in the Construction sector (ideally central London) Professional accreditation with Project Management certification and Engineering accreditation Working knowledge of laws and regulations governing large construction projects In-depth knowledge of Building Codes SMSTS and/or IOSH Managing Safely CSCS Card for site works In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing techniques In-depth knowledge of project management methodologies, techniques, and concepts Excellent communication skills – oral and written as well as presentation skills Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Tools and software relevant to job functions Some experience working with Water Treatment, Recycling, Wastewater equipment a bonus Competencies Knowledge of Health & Safety legislation and general company procedures Mechanical, electrical & piping systems on UK construction sites Excellent project management, analytical and organisational skills MS Office suite, strong excel skills. Experience or knowledge of planning software packages such as Microsoft Project/P6 Excellent client engagement and communication, interpersonal and presentation skills Ability to interact effectively at all levels of management Organised, detail orientated, flexible, adaptable, team collaborator and initiator English (fluent) and other languages are a plus What will your role look like? The Project Manager, MEP supports the Division in providing leadership and technical expertise in the key areas of Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing engineering ensuring robust systems, and processes. The incumbent has direct responsibility for a portfolio of construction projects as may be assigned. He/she must ensure quality in keeping with international best practices and national industry standards. This role involves the day to-day management of project related Human Capital to ensure a level of job satisfaction aligned with VAREO's strategic business objectives as well as to maximize efficiency within the team by championing a effective work environment. To independently oversee project delivery in relation to MEP works in the water sector. In doing so, demonstrate robust competence in the management of quality, cost and schedule across full life-cycle projects including design engineering, contracts and procurement, construction and installation, and commissioning and start-up A mature individual who understands the business priorities of the company and the Client by closely planning and monitoring budgets, identifying critical financial paths, and red flag when required to Line Manager(s) and aligning with Organisation's vision The Incumbent commands unblemished trust from peers, superiors, and subordinates in his/her capabilities to deliver and meet the Organisation's strategic business needs What's next?
