POSITION SUMMARY

This role is required to be in office 5 days a week

As the Revenue Manager, you will be a key leader on our accounting team and be responsible for all functions and requirements to ensure revenue is recognized in accordance with Accounting Standards Codification 606 (ASC 606). Your responsibilities will include managing a small team at our corporate headquarter in American Fork, reviewing customer contracts to identify accounting impacts, evaluating new product skus to ensure all revenue implications are identified and accounted for correctly, improving and streamlining systems relating to revenue recognition in order to become more efficient, and analyzing revenue from several different perspectives to determine accuracy of recognized revenue, trends, and concerns. Additionally, this role will oversee deferred revenue and perform all necessary reconciliations and reporting on deferred revenue. This role is heavily involved in working with our external auditors on the quarterly reviews, annual audits and executing on SOX internal control requirements. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure proper revenue recognition of all revenue channels;
  • Maintain revenue recognition policies and procedures. Stay updated on changes in revenue standards to ensure the company's practices are up to date;
  • Serve as the revenue subject matter expert and collaborate cross-functionally to provide guidance and training on revenue recognition principles and practices;
  • Perform SSP and other revenue related analysis;
  • Review and understand contracts with customers;
  • Report on and understand revenue projections, revenue trends, etc.;
  • Implement additional tools to assist with automating revenue recognition;
  • Review and reconcile changes in revenue and deferred revenue;
  • Help oversee and guide the orders team to ensure contracts are properly transacted in our accounting system;
  • Develop and retain a high performing global team that employs best in class practices;
  • Perform varying types of ad hoc analysis as needed.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • CPA with in-depth knowledge of Revenue Recognition standards (ASC 606) is required. Big-4 experience will be a strong plus;
  • 3-5 years of public accounting experience; 
  • 2-3 years of industry experience (preferred); 
  • Experience with consumption-based revenue contracts;
  • Experience with system implementations, process improvement and internal controls/SOX, including experience working in a publicly traded software company;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and with all levels of management;
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize the various responsibilities and understand the interdependencies of others within the function of this role;
  • Proficiency in relevant enterprise SaaS tools (i.e.: SFDC, NetSuite, NetSuite ARM, Domo, etc.).
