Junior Structural Engineer | Commercial, municipal, educational buildings and forensic engineering

Client:
For over two decades, provided structural engineering and building envelope consulting for a diverse range of construction and restoration projects throughout the NY metropolitan region as well as throughout the US and overseas. Experience includes tall office and residential buildings, theaters, educational buildings, US Embassies, US Federal courthouses, laboratories, sculptures, landmarks, and special structures. Professional competence and client satisfaction are the highest priority along with client collaboration to develop creative and cost-effective design solutions. (Flexible work schedule, remote working hours)
Description:
Actively seeking a Junior Structural Engineer, someone passionate about the design of buildings. Great opportunity for the right person to establish themselves as a well-rounded structural engineer by working on a variety of project types, working directly on all phases of projects.
Responsibilities:

Perform structural design of buildings, load calculations and structural analysis
Structural design of all project types
Projects include new construction, renovations, structural assessments and repairs, facades, and forensic engineering
Attend site visits in the tri-state area

Job Requirements:

2-3 + years of structural engineering experience
Familiar with AISC, ACI, WFCM
Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit
Experience with systems including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry
Excellent communication skills
Knowledge of structural engineering software, RISA preferred

Education:
Bachelors in Civil-Structural Engineering or similar 4-year engineering degree; MS preferred
