Distribution Designer

EnergyUnited is looking for a talented Distribution Designer (Level 1A, 1B, 2, or 3) to help shape the future of electrical distribution systems! Whether you’re designing overhead and underground layouts, managing right-of-way easements, or coordinating with property owners, contractors, and government agencies, your work will ensure our communities get safe, reliable, and affordable energy.

What You’ll Do:

• Design & Coordinate: Create layouts for residential, commercial, and industrial distribution systems.
• Collaborate: Work closely with internal teams, developers, municipalities, and utilities.
• Fieldwork: Spend 70% of your time in the field ensuring smooth operations and top-notch service.
• Manage Projects: Secure easements, prepare work orders, and oversee system improvements and extensions.
• Maintain Standards: Follow RUS construction standards and NESC requirements to ensure reliability and safety.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma (ASET preferred).
• Experience in Distribution Design is nice to have. 
• Must be a licensed NC driver, able to work in tough conditions, available for after-hours work and reside (or be willing to relocate) within 20 miles of the assigned office.
