JOB TITLE: Grounds Waste Cleaning Operative

LOCATION: St Enoch Shopping Centre

SHIFT PATTERN: 5 days over 7 days

WORKING HOURS: 37,5 HOURS PER WEEK

PAY RATE: £11.44 per hour

As a Grounds Waste Cleaning Operative at ABM UK, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of various outdoor areas. Your responsibilities will include collecting and disposing of waste in designated areas, ensuring that all waste is handled in accordance with industry regulations and company policies. You will also be responsible for keeping outdoor areas clean and free from debris, performing routine maintenance tasks such as litter picking, and conducting regular inspections to identify and address any safety hazards.

Responsibilities

• Collect and dispose of waste in designated outdoor areas
• Ensure that all waste is handled in accordance with industry regulations and company policies
• Keep outdoor areas clean and free from debris
• Perform routine maintenance tasks such as litter picking and sweeping
• Conduct regular inspections to identify and address any safety hazards
• Maintain records of waste collection and disposal activities
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient and effective waste management processes

Requirements

• Previous experience in grounds waste cleaning or a similar role is preferred
• Knowledge of waste management regulations and best practices
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
• Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that require bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work in all weather conditions
• Flexibility to work on weekends or outside regular business hours if required
