Eurostar is an international high-speed rail service connecting the United Kingdom with France, Belgium and the Netherlands. In March 2022, the European Commission provided clearance for the project to combine Eurostar and the Belgium high-speed rail operator Thalys. The combination will be realised by establishing a common holding company for both businesses.

An opportunity has arisen to join Eurostar as a Category Manager (Facility Management, Property & Infrastructure).
The central Procurement team leads the optimisation of Eurostar’s spend for their European operations. The team leverages market and category management expertise to manage the acquisition of goods and services, with the aim of achieving optimal total cost of ownership together with the management of key supplier relationships. To accomplish this goal the team supports end-to-end procurement processes with suppliers and key business stakeholders based in the UK, France, Belgium, and the Netherlands.
The focus of the Category Manager’s role will be to plan, socialise and lead category initiatives for the following defined group of categories:
The Category Manager’s tasks will consist of evaluating specifications, making sure they’re fit for purpose, reviewing demand management, processes, gathering market intelligence for innovation, leading sourcing projects, challenging existing contracts and ensuring value for money is being achieved.
The role will include multi million-pound capex projects, as well as supporting internal & external customers in managing supplier performance and compliance.
The position is based in our UK Head Office (King’s Cross) or UK train maintenance depot (Leyton) coupled with flexible working.
