Travel: RN - Operating Room

Position Title: RN Operating Room
Location: York, PA
Duration: 3 months
Shift: Days- 3x12 hrs
Schedule note:

• 2-4 weekend shifts (could be scheduled either day, evening, night shift)
• 2-4 calls assigned with 6-week schedule (30-min response time required)
• Holidays as needed

Job Description:

• The Operating Room Nurse demonstrates critical thinking skills, scientific judgment and leadership in the anticipation and planning for the care of the patient in the operating room.
• As a member of the surgical team the RN works with the Surgeons, Anesthesiologists, ORTs and other personnel to provide patient care in the Operating Room according to State Nurse Practice Act, AORN and regulatory standards, physician orders, policies and procedures of the Hospital and the Surgical Department.
• Responsibilities include but are not limited to: ensuring supplies, timeliness of cases, communication with families, updating of physician preference cards, scrubbing and assisting physicians during surgical cases, and supervision of personnel delivering patient care.

Position Requirements:

• Current nursing license, in good standing with the State licensing board.
• BLS and ACLS from AHA.
• Could care for Covid patients
• Level 1 Trauma experience preferred
• Could float as needed
• 2 years experience needed
• Epic experience needed
