Administer the Oracle infrastructure for the organization, as well as multiple development and test infrastructures. The Administrator will also be involved in advanced support and administer Oracle database cluster providing support for all administrative tasks such as user management, database upgrade, patching, security planning and implementation, backups, disk management and cluster maintenance (e.g. re-indexing or node balancing)
1. Should have worked on Oracle RAC, Dataguard, Goldengate. Should have worked on oracle 12C and above versions, preferably oracle 19c
2. Strong working experience in Oracle RAC running over exadata appliance. Strong knowledge of exadata components and its features
3. Strong experience is database tuning. Instance and query tuning. Experience in sql profiles, baselines and exposure to tuning and monitoring tools such as OEM.
4. Maintain and screen Oracle capacity planning, administration, expansion and install, configure Oracle environment components and manage troubleshoot scheduled analytics;
5. Implement Oracle deployments
6. Upgrade current version of Oracle in DEV/UAT/PROD clusters
7. Monitor Oracle cluster connectivity and security, support and maintenance
8. Develop and maintain documents pertaining to installation and configuration for installations/deployments and support
9. Support development teams in tuning the jobs for better performance
10. Support Development teams during their job failures on daily basis
11. Migrate the data and applications as required
12. Patch the servers/application to fix the vulnerabilities
13. Collaborate with application teams to apply updates, patches, version upgrades as required
14. Standardize the roles and permissions for users to the databases
15. Diligently partner with the infrastructure, network, database, application teams to provide high data quality and availability
16. Ability to Add and remove nodes, keep track of jobs, monitor critical parts of the cluster, schedule and configure it and take backups
