Job Description:
In this role, you will be the driving force behind our ethnic and social events segment, working to elevate our sales and catering offerings and ensuring every event is executed with precision and flair. Reporting to the Director of Sales, you’ll collaborate closely with culinary and operations teams to deliver events that exceed expectations and leave lasting impressions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead with Vision: Craft and execute strategic plans that position us as the go-to destination for ethnic and social events in Virginia.
- Client Engagement: Build authentic relationships with clients, understanding their unique needs to deliver personalized and memorable experiences.
- Innovative Offerings: Collaborate with our culinary team to create bespoke menus that reflect the cultural richness and preferences of our diverse clientele.
- Seamless Execution: Ensure every detail of each event is flawlessly managed, from initial planning through to final execution.
- Market Leadership: Stay ahead of industry trends, continuously innovating and adapting to meet the evolving demands of the market.
Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5 years in catering/events management, with at least 2 years in a self-managed or leadership role.
- Proven success in driving sales and exceeding revenue targets, especially within diverse markets.
- A creative mindset with a passion for designing unique, culturally rich event experiences.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
- Familiarity with the Virginia market and a deep understanding of its cultural landscape.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with catering software is a plus.
- Commitment to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Certification in event planning (CMP) is a plus but not required.
