We believe that the way people interact with their finances will drastically improve in the next few years. We’re dedicated to empowering this transformation by building the tools and experiences that thousands of developers use to create their own products. Plaid powers the tools millions of people rely on to live a healthier financial life. We work with thousands of companies like Venmo, SoFi, several of the Fortune 500, and many of the largest banks to make it easy for people to connect their financial accounts to the apps and services they want to use. Plaid’s network covers 12,000 financial institutions across the US, Canada, UK and Europe. Founded in 2013, the company is headquartered in San Francisco with offices in New York, Washington D.C., London and Amsterdam.
The Industry Relations team is responsible for managing the complex partnerships with financial services industry groups that Plaid needs to advance its mission. We work with organizations like NACHA and The Clearing House to help set the rule of the road for open finance payments, trade groups like ABA and ICBA on how banks can benefit from open banking, and NGOs like Aspen and FinRegLab on solving ecosystem problems like scams and fraud.
Plaid is looking for a high-achieving entrepreneur to help build out our Industry Relations function. As the leading Open Finance network in North America, Plaid helps consumers access the financial data they need, whether at a fintech or a traditional bank or credit union. Plaid also helps over 8,500 companies – from S&P 500s to brand new start ups – deliver better products to consumers.
Our network of over 14,000 data partners and 8,500 customers is incredibly diverse, and we are relentless in seeking to improve it. That means identifying the hardest and most complex problems and working with partners across the industry to solve them. Do you want to drive fraud out of financial services? Have you dreamed about making pay-by-bank a reality? Do you want to help expand financial inclusion by helping credit-invisible consumers leverage cash-flow underwriting to get access to credit? Plaid builds the technology that makes each of these things possible, and we need someone to help us build coalitions with industry and NGO stakeholders to make them a reality.
