Category Manager

We’re looking for a Category Manager to join our sales team and be a part of the biggest small brand in beverage. This is a dynamic, entrepreneurial and passionate team that is fanatical about our delicious product! As our Category Manager, you will report to the VP, Business Intelligence / Analytics, support sales plans for national and regional customers for Spindrift’s beverage products, research trends, analyze data, and evaluate market opportunities. The objective for this role is two-fold: increase market share, and advance our customer partnerships by providing them with actionable market data.

Key Responsibilities

• Make recommendations regarding various retailers’ business with Spindrift brand segments
• Research economic and market trends, estimate sales potential, and evaluate retailer and product opportunities
• Support the sales organization with promotional planning and evaluation
• Other ad hoc assignments

Requirements

Experience and skills

• 5+ years of beverage experience
• 5+ years of wholesale FMCG experience
• 5+ years of category management experience
• 5+ years of managerial experience
• Advanced Excel and Power Point
• In depth knowledge and understanding of syndicated data bases, e.g. IRI and/or Nielsen
• Comprehensive understanding of retail customer analytics
• Ability to adapt and innovate
• Strong communication skills, verbal and written
• Ability to travel, as needed, to support customer review meetings, internal meetings and other designated events
