Associate Vice President-Hedge Fund Reconciliation
The Team:
The managed services teams harness constantly evolving technology, data, and industry best practices to provide meaningful insights to transform your business. These teams perform numerous duties such as accounting, reconciliations, portfolio valuation, client onboarding, liaising with clients and 3rd parties, as well as participating in frequent internal discussions around process improvement and new offerings. As outsourced partners of our clients' middle and back-office operations groups, our mandate is to enhance and optimize their operational efficiency.
The Role:
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the Managed Services organization is well equipped to achieve our ambitious business goals. You will be accountable for driving implementation of our strategy, leading key initiatives, and managing our team’s daily operation. This role will be a strategic partner within the business by knowing both its present state and strategic objectives, continually evolving the function’s operating model in line with changing requirements within the organization.
What You’ll Do
- Lead the process to define business strategies, plans, and organizational policies
- Own, oversee, and coordination multiple critical projects and initiatives
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency and effectiveness of our organization
- Provide a holistic view of all organizational performance by identifying, monitoring, and evaluating key business health indicators
- Manage interdependencies and coordination across projects
- Ensure that information relating to project deliverables, risks and issues are effectively communicated between stakeholders
- Foster collaborative and mutually supportive relationships with all key stakeholders, assess cross-functional teams.
- Help build, lead, coach, and develop a strong, resourceful, managed services team that performs at the highest level.
What You’ll Need:
- 13 plus years of professional experience leading and growing teams and organizations.
- MBA preferred or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic / professional experience
- Strong business acumen including the understanding of investment management industry and lifecycle of trade workflows across different asset classes.
- Successful track record in assimilating large amounts of data to present back recommendations and status updates to senior colleagues.
- Successful track record in establishing governance, resource management, organizing structure and standardizing processes.
- Strong leadership skills including listening, stakeholder engagement, conflict management, negotiating, and influencing.
- Strong analytical, decision making, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and the style can be tailored depending on the audience.
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally in a fast-paced, rapidly evolving environment.
- Successful track record in making data-driven decisions that had a positive impact to the organization.
- Proven leadership skills and ability to manage and scale a large global operating team across multiple layers of management.
