Teradata Developer

• Design, develop, and implement Teradata database solutions.
• Create and optimize SQL queries for efficient data retrieval and manipulation.
• Work on database modeling, indexing, and partitioning to ensure optimal performance.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes using tools like Teradata Utilities (FastLoad, MultiLoad, BTEQ, etc.).
• Collaborate with data architects and other teams to ensure seamless data integration across different platforms.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in Teradata databases.
• Optimize queries, indexing strategies, and database configurations for better efficiency.
• Contribute to the design and maintenance of data warehouse structures.
• Implement data warehousing best practices and standards.
• Implement and maintain data security measures, including access controls and encryption, to ensure data integrity and confidentiality.
• Provide support for Teradata-related issues, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve data-related incidents.
• Create and maintain documentation for database designs, ETL processes, and data-related procedures.
• Work closely with data analysts, data scientists, and business users to understand data requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.

Requirements

• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Teradata database technologies.
• Proficient in writing and optimizing complex SQL queries.
• Experience with Teradata utilities such as FastLoad, MultiLoad, BTEQ, and other ETL tools.
• Familiarity with data modeling concepts and the ability to design efficient database structures.
• Strong skills in performance tuning of Teradata databases, including query optimization and indexing strategies.
• Understanding of data warehousing concepts and best practices.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python or Unix Shell scripting is a plus.
