TEAM
The Software Engineering Platform Team's mission is to simplify software development and increase developer agility by creating tools and processes which enable novel uses of vehicles without compromising safety.
Arene Professional Services exists to to be practitioners of Arene Tools and Processes and to use this experience to help transform jobs, train organizations, customize software products, develop a customer helpdesk function, and prepare others for software implementation. The role is hybrid - 3 days in office or customer office per week.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR

You will be working directly with the Head of Professional Services to come up with and align on business strategy and business development. You will help to grow and hands-on manage the team of Solutions Engineers and will partner directly with development teams from Toyota and other manufacturers, to provide consultation to Vehicle Software Developers in how to use the Arene tools, and to join the customer development teams to implement solutions to customer problems using the Arene tools and SDKs.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of next-generation mobility application developers
- Defining the team's strategy and goals with the Head of Professional Services
- Mentor and grow competencies within the team, creating "practitioners" of Arene Tools and Process
- Create onboarding plans for customers/users of Arene and execution plans
- Build strong partnerships with Arene teams and adapt to changes as the platform evolves
- Build strong partnerships and establish trust with our customer/users
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience supporting customers in automotive, software or related industries
- At least 5 years experience delivering software solutions to customers
- Experience leading a team of software and/or customer engineering team
- Working proficiency and communication skills in verbal and written English & Japanese
- Excellent people and engagement skills
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with functional safety (ISO26262)
- Experience with software integration and testing
- Experience working in agile/scrum environment
- Experience in working with Japanese automotive OEMs
