Job Description Local to IL candidates preferred Onsite 3 times per week Contract to hire - Opening / Selling Statement: A Senior Full Stack Web and Java Software Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining web applications that meet the needs of clients and users. They are expected to have a deep understanding of both front-end and back-end development, as well as experience with Java programming language. They should be able to work independently or as part of a team to develop software solutions that meet business requirements.
This is a contract to hire position based out of Pilsen, Chicago as the resource is expected to be in the office for 3 days.

Job Duties: Designing and developing web applications using Java programming language
Familiar with Docker and Containerization
PAAS – Cloud Foundry / OpenShift
Experienced with Test Driven Development (TDD)
Developing front-end website architecture using React Framework
Designing user interactions on web pages
Developing back-end website applications
Creating servers and databases for functionality Azure SQL or Cosmos DB
Ensuring responsiveness of applications
Working alongside graphic designers for web design features
Seeing through a feature from conception to finished product
Designing and developing APIs
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
5+ years of experience as a full stack engineer, experience with javascript, React framework, SQL & NoSQL databases, TDD
Familiarity with Docker and containerization, experience with creating apis, front end and backend development
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to architect complex systems
Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
