We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Sales Director to lead our South East Asia (SEA) sales team for the IMI Industrial Automation Sector. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 15 years of sales and commercial exposure, with a proven track record of strategic sales growth and strong customer relationships. This role requires extensive travel across the region and the ability to lead multi-cultural teams effectively.
Key Responsibilities
· Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to achieve sales targets and expand our customer base in South East Asia.
· Build and maintain strong, long-lasting relationships with key clients, understanding their needs and providing tailored solutions.
· Lead, mentor, and manage a diverse sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
· Provide regular sales forecasts and reports to senior management.
· Identify new business opportunities and market trends to drive growth and stay ahead of the competition.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, product development, and customer support, to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives.
· Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, providing regular reports to senior management and making data-driven decisions to optimize sales efforts.
· Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and conferences to enhance brand visibility and generate leads.
· Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
· Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field. An MBA is preferred.
· Experience in the industrial automation sector, with a strong network of contacts in the industry.
· Minimum of 15 years of experience in sales, with a focus on the South East Asia markets.
· Strong commercial acumen and a deep understanding of the industrial automation sector.
· Proven ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets.
· Demonstrated success in building and maintaining strong customer relationships.
· Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a sales team.
· Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with key clients.
· Strategic thinker with a proactive approach to identifying and capitalizing on business opportunities.
· Knowledge of the latest market trends and technological advancements in industrial automation.
· Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
